What was there about the centurian`s faith that so impressed Jesus?
Because he had such strong faith that he knew Jesus did not have to be there or even touch the man, he knew that Jesus will was so strong because he knew he was God and could do anything that he all he had to do was will it. Many people were not this strong in their belief and that is why Jesus was so impressed. By: Lesa Braddock - April 09, 2007 - Public Category: The Faith of the Centurion

The centurian came to Jesus knowing if he said that his servant was healed that it would be so and he would not need Jesus to come to his house. By: Myles - April 08, 2007 - Public Category: The Faith of the Centurion

The centurion beliefs in words of Jesus as the power of healing his servant.
The centurion says that it is like healing a servant with the commands from Jesus just like the way he commands his subjects in his house. He knows that Jesus has powers all over humanity. By: Bol Joseph Agau - April 08, 2007 - Public Category: The Faith of the Centurion

I think Jesus was impressed by the centurian`s humility and respectful demeanor as well as his belief in the supernatural healing powers of Jesus. Jesus must have found this very refreshing! By: Patty - April 07, 2007 - Public Category: The Faith of the Centurion

In christian life, we must have faith first before we come to Jesus/ be a christian. We have to believe Jesus is the only Son of God, He can do everything for us. By: cyndi ng - April 07, 2007 - Public Category: The Faith of the Centurion

Used to be at the head of his troops he shows great humility in bending to Jesus power - bejond the flesh i mean the centurion must have been physically very strong and muscly - but incapable of helping his servant. He admits humbly and simply this to ask for aid for whom? not a superior who might have been of help to him in eartlthy struggle for power, but somebody below him a servant. When he came into
Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking him, and saying, "Lord, my servant
lies in the house paralyzed, grievously tormented."
Jesus said to him,
"I will come and heal him." The centurion answered,
"Lord, I'm not worthy for you to come under my roof. Just say the
word, and my servant will be healed. For I am also a man under
authority, having under myself soldiers. I tell this one, 'Go,' and he
goes; and tell another, 'Come,' and he comes; and tell my servant, 'Do
this,' and he does it."
When Jesus heard it,
he marveled, and said to those who followed, "Most
certainly I tell you, I haven't found so great a faith, not even in
Israel. I tell you that
many will come from the east and the west, and will sit down with Abraham,
Isaac, and Jacob in the Kingdom of Heaven, but the children of the Kingdom
will be thrown out into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and
gnashing of teeth." Jesus said to the centurion,
"Go your way. Let it be done for you as you have
believed." His servant was healed in that hour.
